Lavinija Erdinger: OTETO / RAPTURED

What is immediately obvious here is the author's contemplation of the question - 'is there a life after death'.

We clearly see the notions of forgiveness, reconciliation and letting go of the toxic fear of tomorrow, pain and existence. Lavinija has surrendered after a futile struggle and refusal to confront the complexity of life's situations which grind her into dust and demand a constant war with the inner hell and its demons. The ability to believe and to hope - even to be afraid - have been taken away from her.

This is an extremely strong and intimate confession...

Odmah se može uhvatiti zamisao autorice koja kontemplira nad pitanjem - postoji li život nakon smrti.

Ovdje jasno iščitavamo oprost, mirenje i opuštanje nakon grčevitog straha od sutrašnjice, boli i bitka. Lavinija se predala nakon uzaludne borbe i odbijanja da se suoči sa kompleksnosti životnih situacija koje ju melju i traže svakodnevnu borbu sa unutrašnjim paklom i demonima.

Njoj je oteta mogućnost da vjeruje i da se nada - čak i da se plaši. Ovo je izuzetno snažna i intimna ispovijest...

Strahinja Kovač-Bitanga: STUDIJA BOLI / STUDY OF PAIN

Znak PITANJA je ovlaš naznačen - čisto da se nasluti i kroza nj pronikne u simboliku izopćeničkog života ljudi na marginama društva, koji rasipaju fragmente svoje ličnosti kroz borbu sa okruženjem izazvane strahom od iskazivanja vlastite seksualnosti.

The QUESTION mark is barely/loosely formed here - it serves only as a notion through which we are to take a peek into the symbolism of the renegade and outcast lifestyles of people living on the margins of society, who scatter away the fragments of their shattered personalities during the course of struggle with their surroundings, caused by fear of expressing their own sexuality.

Extraordinarily interesting piece of work, Strahinja...this display of primal, spastic, anxious strike of destruction which decides to end the growing silence which suffocates people stuck in undefined relationships...truly extraordinary...

"Introduction"

As a consequence of the iconoclastic turmoil that stormed through every area of artistic activity during the past century, we have witnessed drastic transformations of discourse, as well as mutations and multiplication of narratives - which, stripped of their externally imposed 'purpose', have begun to realize fictional, as well as actual roles in bringing deeper affective-cognitive ties to the surface, as well as mercilessly severing them.

Modern art is non-conformist - unrestrained, drunk on freedom, fighting against the slavery under the dictatorship of 'meaning' and is, as such, often declared 'impossible to understand' by those unwilling to tear away the veil of safety from their eyes, the veil which obscures the view into the deeper, intimate spheres of reality, idiosyncratic foundations of every human activity, as well as the primal need to become the creators of the world around us and bravely engrave our individuality in it by way of our creations.

This blog aims to approach the modern art from the place of immense respect that such a feat deserves, and open the minds of the viewers to the endless expanses of hidden layers of meaning invisible to those casting a mere superficial glance at modern art.

Uvodna riječ "Art kritičara":

Kao posljedica ikonoklastičkih previranja na svim umjetničkim poljima u proteklome stoljeću, svjedočili smo drastičnim transformacijama diskursa kao i mutacijama i multiplikacijama narativa, koji su, ogoljeni od eksternalno nametnute 'svrhe', počeli ostvarivati fiktivne kao i stvarne uloge u iznašanju dubljih afektivno-kognitivnih poveznica, kao i kidanju istih.

Moderna umjetnost je nekonformistička, nesputana, opijena slobodom i opire se ropstvu diktature 'shvaćanja' te je kao takva, često proglašavana 'nerazumljivom' od strane onih koji nerado odbacuju veo sigurnosti koji im zapriječuje pogled u dublje, intimne sfere pojavne realnosti, idiosinkratične temelje ljuskog djelovanja kao i praiskonsku potrebu da i sami postanemo tvorci svijeta oko sebe te svoju individualnost hrabro i upečatljivo urežemo u Svijet putem svojih kreacija.

Ovaj blog nastoji modernoj umjetnosti prići sa strane respekta koji tako veliki poduhvat zaslužuje, te otvoriti um slučajnih promatrača prema bespućima skrivenog značenja nevidljivog površnom shvaćanju umjetnosti....
